Citizens Advice Leeds is working for a fairer society where people are free from the effects of poverty and injustice. We are a local charity helping over 30,000 people a year to resolve financial, housing, employment and other legal issues. If you’d like to join our team helping service users find solutions to their problems, we have a number of opportunities open to qualified and trainee candidates.

As an Outreach Advice Worker you will join our established team delivering advice sessions at partner venues in Leeds, including GP surgeries, building society offices and other community venues, as well as via telephone and digital channels. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients receive good quality advice, including carrying out benefits checks, assisting with applications and appeals, and contributing to team rotas and targets. Strong communication skills and the flexibility to be able to work in a variety of community settings are some of the key attributes needed for this role.

Applications are invited from motivated candidates looking for a career development opportunity in the advice sector. As a trainee you will develop the skills to deliver advice over the phone and online, covering a range of subjects including energy, welfare rights. If you can offer enthusiasm and a desire to learn, strong IT and communication skills, we’re offering training and support to enable you to achieve full competence in 6-8 months.
