Home and neighbourhood - In Scotland

Your right to buy your home

This information applies to Scotland

You can find the information on this subject in a leaflet produced by the Scottish Executive (now known as the Scottish Government) called:

Your right to buy your home

Please note the following amendment to this leaflet:

On page 8, under the heading 'Who cannot buy?' Scottish Homes ceased to exist at the end of June 2005. All Scottish Homes tenants are now Scottish secure tenants. Scottish secure tenants who were previously tenants of Scottish Homes may have preserved rights to buy their homes under the old terms and conditions that applied before 30 September 2002. For more information about preserved rights to buy, you should consult an experienced adviser, for example, at a Citizens Advice Bureau. To search for details of your nearest CAB, including those that can give advice by email, click on (New window) nearest CAB.
